Ropeswana (Pty) Ltd was incorporated in Botswana in 2013. The company is specialised in providing fall arrest, rope access and rope rescue training courses as well as a wide range of rope access services and consultations. The aim of Ropeswana (Pty) Ltd is to introduce the world best practices and ensure that activities of work at height are conducted in 100% safe and professional way.

Rope access

With construction being one of the fastest developing sectors in Botswana, the need for maintenance of the newly-constructed high-rising buildings will grow. The rope access way of providing essential maintenance works (cleaning, repair works on the facades, etc.) has proven to be much more cost-efficient and less time consuming than the alternatives like scaffolding, cranes, etc.

The rope access system is a safe method of working at height, where ropes and associated equipment are used to gain access to and egress from the workplace, and to be supported at it. The advantage of using rope access methods lies mainly in the safety and speed with which workers can get to or from difficult locations and then carry out their work, often with minimal impact on other operations. Another major benefit is that the combination of the total man-hours and the level of risk for a particular task is often reduced when compared with other means of access and their associated risks and cost.

The rope access services can be widely used in different industrial sectors as well – grain storehouses, silos and metal tanks maintenance, telecommunication towers, etc.

Height safety

Falls from height are the most common kind of workplace fatality. They are the biggest single cause of serious and fatal injuries arising from construction and maintenance activities. Safety when working at height is essential. Ropeswana (Pty) Ltd trains people in using personal protective equipment properly as a key part of their work at height.

Adventure tourism

As a result of its amazing nature and resources Botswana attracts many visitors every year, whose number is expected to further increase in the future. The activities provided to the tourists in the country’s major cities and nature reserves can be further enriched by the development of canopy tours and zip lines, which are a major attraction for adrenaline-seeking tourists in many tourist destinations all over the world.
